Arcana - A Seventh Year Trio Game

Five and a half centuries ago the first tarot deck was created using the four minor arcana - Wands, Cups, Swords, and Coins. Many believe the origins of tarot date back much further, however, possibly even to Ancient Egypt. Over a thousand years ago a school was founded by four powerful wizards, each person with their own traits which they held most dear. The four Founders each created a House within their school, and decreed that students would be sorted into these houses so that those traits could be nourished and grow to their fullest potential. Much like the arcana, these Houses spoke of uncanny wisdom, love and devotion, bravery and passion, and of making choices that could gain you great power or destroy you forever. The Founders could not have predicted that one day a wizard would come to their school, obsessed with the quest for power and eternal life; or how his love of their school would shape some of the most important choices he would ever make.

Arcana is an active canon-based Harry Potter RPG that takes place during what should be Harry’s seventh year at Hogwarts. Most interactions will be AIM based, with occasional role-play by journal thread. Weekly summaries of all logs and threads are posted to keep players up-to-date and for easy reference by new players. We invite you to look over our rules and the list of available characters, and to consider joining us as we explore the mysterious connection between tarot and Hogwarts, and how that connection could be used for the darkest of magic or for saving of the world as we know it.

Katie and other alumni would be great. Fred and George Weasley needed to complete the family! Over 40 characters cast, but many other great characters still available!
